Helping you live the best life possible with the money you have!
March 2020 Financial Focus
Dear Readers:

"The spring is beautiful in California. Valleys in which the fruit blossoms are fragrant pink and white waters in a shallow sea..." - John Steinbeck

We know it's getting close to spring when the magnolia tree outside our office starts to blossom. If you're coming by to finalize your tax return, then you should stop by the tree and treat yourself to a whiff of spring!

...Wait, finalize your tax return? Yes, we have about half of your tax returns in various states of completion. For those of you who haven't uploaded your documents yet, please do so as soon as possible! The last person to upload their tax stuff will be forced to wear the IRS cone of shame, made out of a rolled up W-2 form.

Apart from taxes, we've been talking with many of you about some other news this week:

How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Markets

"Predicting rain doesn't count. Building arks does." - Warren Buffett

Market corrections can be a wild ride, but be reassured - your financial plan is full of cushions and seat belts that make the drops much less turbulent than what you're reading about in the news. It's natural to be scared by dips in the market, but it's your reaction to this volatility that really counts. Remember that roller coaster rides are safe - as long as you don't try to get off!

With that in mind, here's our response to the current market volatility. We hope that you aren't unduly worried about how your investments are doing, but if you would like us to walk you through how this current market correction might impact your portfolio and long term plan, we'd be happy to chat. Our job is to make sure that your financial plan is as bulletproof as possible, and that includes withstanding market corrections much bigger than the one we're currently going through.

Natural Bridges Personal Updates
(This will be a bit spare because none of us have any lives during tax season...)

Moana went to the new Felton library opening. It was awesome and you should go visit!

Anabel gave a horse a bath!

Chris has been playing a game with his four year old grandson called "Run For Your Life." The way the game is played: Chris sits on a couch and yells "Run for your life!" and then throws foam balls at his grandson as he tries to escape from the room. "We play it for hours," Chris says. "He gets to throw the balls back at me, but he can't throw very hard." Jackson has figured out that this game is not quite fair, and is now making Chris do some of the running for his life.

Chris adds, "I've not told my daughter about this game."

Have a good weekend! Please make sure to email us when all of your tax stuff is uploaded!

Much love,
